+Sourcegraph looks like an excellent alternative to +GitHub, that you can install on your own server.
I particularly like the IDE-like features making exploring the code so much easier.
It's source code released under "fair source license" is an original approach as well.
It is not exactly "open source" but "hackable source" instead, still much better than the commonplace proprietary.

Also the self-hosted free edition is feature complete, which is one of the goals they're trying to reach with the fair source license.

It's a really dangerous license. It allows you prepare derivative works, but the license grant does not extend to derivative works.

I think that it's good instead because it's clear: the software is the author's propriety, but if you need to quick fix something, scan for vulnerabilities you can.
